Taxi or town car from airport

we are staying at the Swan on Friday so need to arrange our own transport from the airport.

I believe we can go downstairs and get a taxi or arrange to be picked up by a driver with a sign and go in a town car.

Beyond being met upstairs, is there any difference between the 2 and is there any significant timesaving with one over the other?

Many thanks

They will be pretty similar in cost. BUT....with a car service, you get help with your bags, right at baggage claim. You get a much nicer car. The driver helps you to the car. Versus having to go out and get a cab, after dragging your checked bags outside.
I much prefer being met in baggage claim, getting help with my bags, getting a grocery stop (if needed) and being in a nicer and cleaner car.

I agree 100% with goofy4tink. There are a few nice extra perks with private transfer.

We have used Tiffany Towncar many times, happy with the service.

I have never been to Florida so looking to have a good experience. As we are staying at the paradise palms vacation rentals. How is best way to check if the car service will go there.

There is actually a ground transportation provider, Ed Korgan, Airport Transportation, Orlando and Sanford, Florida who is a Disser :)

In 2012 my 85 year old mother and 24 year old special needs daughter flew to MCO and I hired Ed to take care of them. I was so worried about them, and mom used an airline wheelchair, and Ed took wonderful care of them! I was extremely please and plan on using him for my June trip. Shoot him an e mail with a request for cost. He's extremely competitive, and a Dis Board member to boot.
