Taxi or Car Service from PB to Dolphin

I'm taking a Fl Tours from MCO to PB but I'm not sure I want to be held to a time to go from PB to the Dolphin.

Is it much more expensive to just hail a cab? I know I am with appointments, I'll rush back to sit and wait for the car so I'd rather just go.
