Taxi from WDW to MCO?

One member of our traveling party will be flying out of MCO three hours eariler than the rest of us. There's no way I'm going to try and entertain my DS9 and DD6 in an airport for three more hours, so we're going to send her on ahead.

How is the taxi service from WDW (the Contemporary, in particular) to the airport? Are cabs readily available? What's the fare?

I believe the taxi's are just a tad under a towncar service.

I'd get the name of the taxi company (I think it's Mears) for the Orlando Airport offical site. The info should be there. You can contact them.

I think it would be much more reliable than info posted here. They may, too, offer you a flat fare instead of metered.

There ride will be about 30 minutes.

As an FYI, the car services will do one way runs, and often cost less and be far more comfortable than a cab.

This last time I visited WDW- we were staying in a Downtown Disney Hotel, they called a cab for us and a towncar showed up. Asking more $ than what we were told ( I don't remember the exact rate but it was a flat fare). We were able to talk him down to what the cab ride would have been. It was a lot more comfy!
