Taxi from LAX to DL?

I know taking a cab from LAX is expensive (I'm thinking about $100, does that sound right?) but it also seems like the most time effective for us. We arrive at 830 am and want to go directly to the the park since we only have one day there. I can't find any shuttles that take you right to the park gates but I could be missing something. Any thoughts?

I would suggest trying out execucar express shuttle; It is $72 one way, for up to 4 people in the car. (Honda Odyssey vehicle.) You call 1-800-I-ARRIVE when you have your baggage in hand, and they direct you out to the curb through the doors that you picked up your luggage. They have always been there within 10 min. for us, and take us directly to our hotel. You could book and ask to be taken to Best Western Park Place Inn which is a 3 minute walk right to the gate, it's right across the street from Disneyland. Maybe pickup and drop off would be better at the Grand Californian hotel, I don't know, whatever. All around good service though.

We are usually at our hotel within 35-40 min., by the way, but it depends on traffic. They take the car pool lanes, so they can get past traffic quite easily.

It would be way over $100. I had to take a cab from Arbor Heights to Burbank once and it cost $115 for a 40 min cab ride w/ no traffic. I recommend the shuttle.

SuperShuttle could take you to the Disneyland Hotel. Then you can either walk through DtD to the Main Gate or hop on the monorail and enter the Park through Tomorrowland.

Los Angeles Int. (LAX) is 32 miles away - about 40 minutes by car (1:00 in traffic) approx. $95.00 by Taxi
