Hi Everyone,
Has anyone used taxi's recently from I-Drive(we will be staying at the Embassy Suites near the convention centre) to the parks or Downtown Disney+if yes what was you charged+who did you use?(do they take a 7+3yr old without car-seats-do you have to ask for them?).
I have been on Mears website+put in the details, but was just wondering how accurate they were in there guess. Thanks everyone in advance.x.

This year we took a taxi from Fort Wilderness to the prime outlet on i drive and i think it was about $30. My dd was 4 and never needed a car seat or booster, but when we were there when she was 2 we were able to request a taxi with car seats in them. We just went to the concierge desk in the hotel and they organised it.

We caught a few cabs from our hotel (next to Sea World) to MK and they were $30 a piece.

You can get a bus from I Drive to DTD, it takes about 20 mins, is air conditioned and is, I think, $1.50 each!

I really wish we had discovered it earlier!

The bus is a lynx bus, I'll dig out my stuff at home and find out what number it is for you.........

Mears (Yellow Cabs) have a fare estimator on their web site:

Convension Centre to MK comes out as $28 plus tip each way.

The Lynx bus route 50 goes from the Transportation and Ticket Centre (near MK) via Downtown Disney to Seaworld. A single fare is now $2

To get from the Embassy Suites to Seaworld you can use the I-Ride Trolley Bus. A 7 day pass is $10 or $1.25 per trip.
Nearest stop is 22

The 50 bus does go a little way up I-Drive to the 528 (Beeline Express Way).

This is south of the convention centre on I-Drive and so quite a way from the Embassy Suites. I assume you are at the one on Jamaica Court, next to the EconoLodge (was the Best Western Plaza). It is certainly too far to walk :)

Firstly thank you to everyone that answered, very much appreciated  .

I am staying at the Embassy Suites up near the convention centre(NOT the one on Jamaican Court)so lets make sure i have this right---- Lynx Number 50 will take me to DTD or the TTC :confused3 sorry guys it don't take much to confuse me :rotfl2: .And this will only take me aprox 20mins?.

I know my hotel lays on free buses to ALL parks, but we have some early ressies+i know a cab will be the safer option.Seaworld i know i can get the I-Ride trolley to+we are purchasing the I-Ride trolley multi day passes :thumbsup2 .x.

You can catch the I ride trolley from your hotel to the number 50 lynx bus but more sensible is to catch either the No 42 or 8 (this one stops at the same stop as the 50 to change) lynx bus. You can then get a transfer ticket to the 50 so you only pay one fare (from memory the transfer is 10 cents more).
