Taxi from GF to ASMu?? Should we?

There will be 2 nights during our stay that we will be at the GF (one night) and Contemporary (one night) for PS's at 1900 Park Fare and Chef Mickey's. Both PS's are around 7 - 7:30 pm each night. We are staying at ASMu. I was thinking that maybe it would be easier to grab a taxi back instead of navigating around WDW transportation at this time of night (we tried this once last year after dining at Chef Mickey's and it seems like it was pretty complicated to get back to ASMu). We have a 3 and a 5-yr. old to drag around with us!

My questions:
1- Should we do this or would it be foolish to spend money that way?
2- Does anybody know "around" what it would cost?
3- How/where do we get a taxi at the GF?

Check to see how late the Magic Kingdom will be open until on those nights. Transportation will run from the MK to the All-Stars one hour after the park closes. Just take the Monorail to the MK, and connect there.

If the MK is not open, then it might be just as easy to catch a cab than to transfer at DTD. Cab far (I'm guessing) would be around $15 plus tip, perhaps... in that range, give or take. Taxi's will always be waiting in the Porte Conchere area of the resort.
