taxi from disney

how easy is it,to get a taxi from the magic kingdom?
it is something,i have never took any notice of,as we always hire a car,but hubby is really not wanting to go to mnsshp,so i am thinking,if he drops us off,then we can get a taxi back,to windsor hills.
please do not suggest me driving,as the thought scares me to death.i HATE driving! also i know hubby,will have a few cans,at the villa,so picking us up,will be a definate no.
is there a taxi rank outside,as i really wouldn't know

Taxi's (Mears yellow ones) are available at the Transport and Ticket Center, they'll all be sitting in the parking lot waiting for fares in the area where the coaches etc all collect and drop off.

That said, if you're leaving at park closing there is often lots of other people looking for taxi's too so along with the wait to get the ferry/monorail to get across the lake and then possibly another wait for a taxi, I'd suggest taking the 5 minute walk to the Contemporary Resort and asking Front Desk to call you a cab - would be quicker and obviously it'll be coming specifically for you.

We use taxis all the time when we are at Disney. It's never hard to get one - although you might have to wait in a line now and then. Also, we've found that you don't even have to ask the hotels to call you one, there are usually one or two - actually two or three - by the taxi stand in the hotels.

IMHO late at night it is easier to get a taxi by taking the monorail or boat transport to one of the monorail resorts and getting a taxi from there. The TTC can be very busy.

You could get on the first resort bus to come & get a taxi from there.

i would never have thought,about going to,one of the hotels & getting one from there,it makes so much sense
i don't think,i'm gonna get hubby,to change his mind,so a taxi,it will be!
