We are flying in on a Monday afternoon and will be staying at one of the All Stars for one night and then checking into AKL the next morning. Does anyone know a ballpark $$ I can expect to pay for a taxi from All Stars to AKL? The plan is to check out very early at AS and get to AKL for early check in and then head to a park. Thanks!

About $10 including tip.

Here's a thought....
This is what we do whenever we change hotels at WDW (usually every vacation):

Check in at the first hotel. When you are leaving (next day?), you call the night before for a luggage transfer and you can call again inthe am. You leave your packed things together in one spot in
the room -- AND GO STRAIGHT TO THE PARKS! Enjoy the day in the parks. While youa re out having a great time with your family, cast members will gather your luggage and transport it to your next hotel -- for free!

And when you are ready to leave the park, you just board Disney Transportation (that would be a bus for AKL) and go to your new hotel.

Check in regularly and tell them you sent luggage over from another resort. They will then retrieve it from storage and deliver it to your new room. (This can sometimes take about 30 minutes, but what do you have in your luggage that you can't do without for a short wait?)

Anyhow, this will save you time and money. Not sure if I missed something in your post about why you would choose to do it another way. But in my opinion, this is the way to go!!

Hope that helps! :sunny:

Totally agree with SnowWhite. Don't bother with a taxi. Disney staff knows the drill when changing resorts--just take advantage of the Magic!!

As an FYI, I had WDW transfer my luggage once, and they lost it. So never again. I'd much rather spend the $10 for a cab and know that my luggage was in a particular place than take the risk of WDW transferring it again, and not knowing were in 47 square miles it might have been delivered to. (Because they had absolutely no idea what had been done with it for several hours!)
