Taxi from Airport?

How much does a taxi cost from the airport to the Universal Hotels? Anyone have an estimate? DH wants to try a taxi this time since it is just the two of us, but if the prices are not that much less than a towncar, I would rather just go with the towncar. Thanks!

Also, does anyone know how much it costs for a trip from Universal to Disney? I know it is $12 a person on Mears, but the least amount of time that I have to take shuttle buses, the better!

I just did a search and it seems it cost 35 - 37 one way from the airport to the Royal Pacific Resort (the other Universal resorts are further away, so I'm guessing they would be a bit more). I think I will just get a town car, that is not that much of a price difference and I have always had good luck with towncar service.

It looks like round trip fare to Disney from Universal is 35 - 40 using a towncar (it depends on where in Disney). I'm not sure about a taxi.

Would the towncar be through Mears? I am also trying to find the best deal for 2 days from WDW resort to Universal. $40 round trip? That beats the Mears bus which I was told was $13 each round trip for a family of four.

Sorry, that was not round trip, just one way. It is 55 - 60 round trip.


The towncars usually are cheaper from the airports (and faster, and cleaner) than Mears if you have more than two people because they don't change you per person. There are lots of towncar services. I usually use Tiffany (tiffanytowncar.com), but there are also, Yourride, Happy Limo, and a couple others.

SO would it be cheaper to take a Taxi or a Towncar from Orlando International to Coronado Springs Resort?

I found a towncar roundtrip rate of $85. Anyone know how much a taxi would charge?? Thanks!

taxis and towncars are about the same when you book the towncar roundtrip. If you are trying to decide between taxi and towncar then it is a no brainer. Take a towncar, it is cleaner and nicer for the same price.

If you are trying to decide between Mears and Towncar then a towncar becomes cheaper when there are more than 2 in your party.
