Taxi FROM a Park?

If we want take a cab back to the resort (to avoid the wait time for the bus), are they easy to find, or will I need to call ahead? If I call ahead, how far in advance do you think I should call?

Honestly form the parks, you will probably wait just as long for a Taxi as for the bus and the bus is free. I don't think I have ever seen taxis waiting at the parks.

There are taxis near the bus stops. It's probably not going to save you much time, though.

took taxi from both Epcot and MK. Lines of taxis, just waiting for us. Easy peasy and much more pleasant. Since we didn't send one person on the bus and the other to the taxi, we can't compare times, but since we got to our destination in almost no time, I'm going with the taxi being shorter. Plus, we got to walk to the taxi areas vs standing in a long line at the bus. Walking is better than standing for me!

The answer for MK may be different than the other parks... taxis there are to/from the TTC.

At the parks taxis are usually lined up over by the bus stops. If you're not sure where they are ask a CM by the gate or bus stops. For MK the taxis are at the TTC so it's easier to walk over to the CR and get a taxi there.

If only we'd thought about that, but on the other hand, we KNEW how to get to TTC and didn't really know how to get to CR, and getting to TTC was easy.


I think I have to amend Epcot to DHS for my previous response. But I'm not sure.


All I know is that it was all quick, convenient, cheap, and SIMPLE. Only regret is that we didn't have our usual rental car and had to do the taxi thing! But we really REALLY dislike the bus.

at MK not sure how much time and standing you will save as taxi only at TTC. could find lines for ferry or monorail esp at park closing plus time waiting for taxi. no taxi near buses at MK

Taxis are usually ready and waiting at the parks. Except, as has been mentioned, MK. There you can go to the TTC or the Contemporary and grab a taxi.

It was a pretty long walk from the exit to the taxis at DHS. When I told my nieces that we were going to take a taxi rather than the bus, they were thrilled. But as we kept walking... and walking... and walking to get to the taxi, some of the fun wore off.
