Taxi cost

Does anyone know the cost of a taxi from Lax to Paradise Pier or any of the DLR hotels. There will be 4 of us - 2 adults and 2 kids. I m trying to figure out if it is cheaper and save time compared to using a shuttle.

I can tell you that the shuttles generally charge per person, where the cabs are a single fare - regardless of the number in your party...In my experience (from Orange Cty) 4 has been near the cut-off of where it makes sense to go cab...But, there's no question, taking a cab is much more convenient - if that factors into your decision making...Also, if you do end up taking a cab - I would ask whoever is manning the Taxi area if there is flat fare pricing from LAX to Disneyland...and if so, wait for a driver who will honor it...

I'd try to get a mini-van taxi. I have done 4 people in a regular taxi before, but I was sitting shotty next to the driver. Some people might not be comfortable with that.

I've done 4 in a traditional cab many times...I'm in the front - wife and 2 kids in the back...no issue at all...

The last time we flew into LAX (hopefully never again) we used a taxi van and the cost was $100 each way ~ 3 A 3 K

You could get a limo for $100 each way to and from LAX

Childhood memory came up!

My grandma, aunt, me & 2 cousins all pile into a taxi from LAX to a hotel near DL. Taxi driver quotes $78...my grandma squawks...we all pile OUT of the car & take the shuttle! I was 11' , so this was about '87 I think.

IMO - The shuttle's the way to go & I'm not as frugal as gramma!

I learned a valuable lesson with taxi services on our last trip....

I called the cab company ahead of time and got a flat-fee quote. When we got to the airport, they tried to charge us $20 more! I spoke to the supervisor on site and he honored my quote. If you do this, be sure to write down who you spoke with.
