OK, this question has nothing to do with WDW directly, but it is my means of paying for the trip, lol.

Does anyone know what the first day you can file your taxes is? Last year, as soon as I got my W-2 form from work, i ran to file on my lunch break(ok, laugh or scuff like evryone I know, lol, but hey I need my money). This was on Jan. 25, I did all the paper work and payed to get my money overnight, but then they told me the IRS wasnt accepting them yet. I cant remember how long I did have to wait. So can anyone help me out?

What is the first day that the IRS accepts the files?
Our trip is Feb 4-10, I know its cutting it short, but if I do this week, I can get a really really great deal on airfare!!!

I filed electronically last year on January 24 and had my refund deposited into my checking account on February 4.

I hope this helps!

You are asking me to think back, and my memory gets worse every year, but I think at H&R Block we were able to start filing with the IRS on Jan 19th. If you have your refund direct deposited, it can be in your account within 8 - 15 days. That said, your employer is not required to furnish you with a W-2 until February 2nd, so you are at their mercy! ;)

Actually, The employer has until the last day of January to MAIL your W2's. then 14 days from then before you can file a claim with the IRS against your employer for not providing your with your W2's

Like I said, you should have it by February 2nd. :confused3
