Just curious, for those that have already done their taxes online but had to wait for the IRS computer change before they could be submitted, have you received a confirmation saying that the return has been accepted by the IRS?

I'm thinking that since all of the software programs had to hold the returns until yesterday, that there is going to be a backlog in processing them.

I got a message this morning from Turbo Tax that said that the IRS is processing the backlog as quickly as possible and it may be the end of the week before we can get a status update.

Sign into your Turbo account and check the status there--that is where my "consumer message" was (not an email).
Thanks..got the same message about it not being updated til the end of the week!

We got the same message.

Important Information About Your Return: Currently the IRS is working through its backlog of tax returns as quickly as possible. You may not see a change in your e-filing status until the end of the week. Thanks for your patience!

It sounds similar to Taxact.

TaxACT is currently transmitting returns to the IRS as quickly as possible, and we will e-mail you as soon as the IRS has processed your return. Due to the high volume of stockpiled returns, the time frame for receiving your acceptance or rejection e-mail acknowledgement may be up to 72 hours.

Yeah, nothing here yet either. We filed through H&R Block...I sure hope it comes soon, we are going to be cutting it WAy too close to the 45 day deadline to pay the remainder of our trip, and we usually use the tax return to pay for our yearly "treat" of a trip to The World!!!:woohoo:

Ours went into the H and R Block system last thursday. We rec'd an email that it was sent to the IRS yesterday afternoon. This morning we rec'd emails that our state and federal were accepted by the respective tax authorities. Glad to be done!

Using HRBlock online - got confirmation it was accepted yesterday and then email that it was processed this afternoon. Should get $$ in 7-10 days.

Yep, I just logged on to check and got the same message. Also means another week of waiting for your refund. :guilty:

I don't know that it means that, I think it means that the confirmations are delayed. It's possible that it will delay refunds though.

We got notice that our state was rejected because the numbers for our Long Term Care Credit didn't add up to one line for our federal. There has to be a glitch because they do add up :confused3

I have the same message. We already had our state accepted and have already gotten that refund. Just waiting for the federal now.

I got my confirmation today that it was accepted. I used H&R Block.

Sounds like I should have used HR Block. I used Turbo Tax.

We never had any waiting. DH filed with Turbo Tax, had our State refund in 3 days. Federal took 7 days.

I got my confirmation this afternoon. Good thing, too, since the main computer bit the dust this week. :headache:

Your taxes probably were not affected by the late tax laws passed (or rather never passed) by Congress. For many people who itemize, we weren't able to file until yesterday. I got mine done Jan 21, but the efile was not sent to the IRS until yesterday.

I finally finished and submitted mine yesterday using TurboTax For The Web. I got my acceptance confirmation from the IRS this afternoon with a scheduled refund of 2/27/2011.
