Tax rates at WDW

This is very confusing. I come from Canada and I don't know what is the tax rate at Disney World. I heard that taxes are different because of different counties, etc.

We're staying at All-Star Sports, so I know the tax rate at my hotel is 7,5%. What about the parks? Is it JUST the All-Star Resorts that have a 7,5% tax rate? Please help.

It's only All Star Resorts with the higher tax rate and everything else is 6.5%. I would say purchase things elsewhere to save money but everything is not the same price in everywhere so that statement could be false.. yes it's confusing.

Disney World is in 2 different counties, one being orange county where everything else is.. All Star Resorts is located in Osceola county which just increased their tax rate at the start of the year. This includes ESPN Wide world of sports, that's also in Orange County.

You mean WWoS is in Osceola.Another quick tidbit about the differences.Today was the Star Wars half marathon which had a different course from last year,last year it ended in WWoS(Osceola county) and apparently they cant serve alcohol on Sunday mornings so runners couldn't get their beer after running the half.This year it ended at Epcot so those runners could get their beer,probably a good thing since it was pretty darn hot today.

They clouds were great until they disappeared and the race was long over before the warmer temps happened.. I'm waiting for this massive rain though, it got hot out and I was promised some rain..
