Wow that's 64% more than Hawaii's sales tax of 4.712%. I think Disney should build a park here. We already have Aulani, might as well build a park, and there's tons of empty space near there

Thank you...yes I meant sales tax. We have 5% in Juneau AK....We don't have a state sales tax but each town has their own sales tax. Anchorage has no sales tax....

It's 9.1% where I live, but we do not have tax on grocery items. That rate seems so low, does Hawaii tax groceries at that rate also? I keep telling myself that not taxing food is why ours is so high...

Wow 9.1% is insane. Hawaii taxes everything and I mean EVERYTHING at 4.712% (at least on Oahu). So if you want to buy a loaf of bread or have brain surgery it'll all cost 4.712% more.

Anyways, I tend not to notice the 7.75% tax at Anaheim because I'm having just way too much fun (and my 15-20% discount and free parking helps). I'll be there in 3 days! Woohoo!

California doesn't tax groceries.

Anaheim tax is 7.75%. Sales tax in California does vary by county and city.

Anaheim hotel/resort tax is a combined 17%.

So in 1995 when I went, I didn't have to pay sales tax cause I'm from Oregon... think that'll still fly now? Hahahahaha
