Everytime I go down to DISNEY I get the fake tattoos. I receive so many compliments on them that I am tempted to get a permanent one. Still thinking about it but I am wondering if I should go for it. I am not worried about the pain, I am just not sure if I want something permanent on my body.

I have a Tiger on my right arm. He's got green eyes! Don't regret it at all actually. Had it for about 11 years now!

I have a rose on my ankle with my daughters name under it...no regrets there and I want to get one in memory of my godson Matt on the other...I want a fire helmet with his Junior firefighters number on it and his name on the brim.

Nope not at all... I love my rose & hidden mickey on my shoulder. Every time I catch it in a mirror I smile :)

no what I got, nor that I got one, just the place I got it. On my ankle/calf. I don't feel comfortable wearing skirts/dresses now. Just doesn't look good.

I though about it for about 10 years, (no kidding) before getting my tattoo and I don't regret it. Mine is on my right shoulder blade. It's a vine, twisted into the shape of a heart with three roses on it and my and my husband's first initial intertwined inside. I smile everytime I see it in a mirror.

I want one in the worst way (I know it's odd for a 40 yr old) but I have always wanted a very small tatoo on my left hip (if I can ever find it again). But I wouldn't want it to be noticable to everyone!

DH is not at all comfortable with this as he says if I get a tatoo and our daughter ever needs blood I will not be able to donate for a while?

I guess I can respect that!

I've been debating getting one for YEARS now. I've looked up the info. I have a design I want. Can't decide where I want it. A lot of people like it on the shoulder...but what will it look like when I'm older (and hunchbacked?!)...I kinda like on the foot (below my ankle towards the heel) so I can see it & smile:D Has anyone gotten one there?

My DH says he'll "support me" if I want one...and then he adds a "but" you'll regret it, you can never change it, etc. I haven't changed my mind yet about getting one (like I said earlier, it's been years!)

What do you guys think?

Melissa

I have one on my left ankle, right at the bone...it hurt like the dickens when they did the part that extends onto the bone itself...

I dont regret it at all..my mom always said if I ever got a tattoo, that she didn't want to see it, so I keep it covered up when Im around her (out of respect for her wishes) Eventually I will get my mickey tattoo...that will be years from now though.

why would you not be able to donate blood?? also I would love to see the hidden Mickey one thanks

I have a rose on my left shoulder. its in a good place, because if I want to show it off I do, if not I buy something with sleeves. The pain wasn't bad. I'd like to get another one. Not sure if I ever will. My tattoo was a gift to me for my 30th birthday. It was in my wilder days, before kids and when we owned a Harley.

When you get a tattoo, you are forbidden to donate blood for 12 months (I think) due to the off chance that you may contract Hepatitius from the needles. If you are thinking about getting a tattoo, please make sure the shop uses an autoclave to sterilize the equipment. You should see the artist taking the needles out of sterile packaging, and he/she should be wearing gloves. Make no mistake, getting a tattoo is an invasive procedure, while not as serious as surgery, you will bleed and you will need to protect the wound after just like any other cut or deep scrape.

As far as regretting, no I don't regret getting either of mine, and I will be getting another one before the year is over. It may even have a mickey icon outline as part of it, but that remains to be decided.

Never had one ...never will!! I just can't imagine in the future all these gray haired grannies and their tattoos!!! Not like your typical image of a sweet grandmother.

:D

I don't regret getting either of mine. I like my Mickey Mouse tattoo. I have a tribal sun with two dolphins swimming around a yin yang on my left arm that I am thinking of changing, though. I think I might cover up the dolphins and the yin yang with the Mickey icon, which is what I have on my right arm with the word Disney in the classic Disney font underneath it.

I have the celtic symbol for Angel on my lower back, with tribal "wings" coming out of the sides. It's gorgeous.
I regretted it for a little while, but then I realized what's done is done, and it's really a work of art, so I love it again :)

I want to get a small red heart somewhere, just not sure where yet.

I wanted the one I have for over a year-the exact design and everything (I "created" the design out of the celtic symbol, and ideas from other tribals).

My sis in law got a tatoo when she was in her early 20's back in the 70's. She had a rose tatooed on her upper breast.....She is now in her 50's and said it is now a long stemmed rose.....hahahahahahah....That would be my fear.....that as the skin ages....the stretching would alter the look of the tatoo....

I don't regret mine at all.
I wanted one for the longest time...my parents always said no...so I turned to piercing (reason being that it wasn't "permanent" and I could take it out whenever and the hole would just close up.)

I waited until just last year, 3 weeks before my wedding, to get my first tattoo...it was a gift from my maid of honor. We always joked about getting 'martinis tattooed on our arses'...so we did it! I found a very cool 'abstract' martini graphic and had it done.

It's not on my bum...but it's low on my back off to the left...you really only see it when I'm wearing a bathingsuit or if my pants are riding low and I bend over.

I almost forget it's there sometimes...when I catch myself in the mirror after getting out of the shower, I just smile...I remember the good times behind that.

I, personally, wouldn't get one in an extremely visible spot...that's just me though...but I like knowing that I have a little bit of permanent ink on my body.

I have to say that I want one, but this image keeps me from it! Can you just imagine all those wrinkly tattoos? LOL

Stinkerbelle, I have tried and tried to imagine what yours looks like (you described it on a thread awhile ago) but can't!
