Tatoo Question

How long do you have to stay out of the water after getting a tatoo...meaning pool water or jacuzzis. I want to get one this week, but I am going to Cabo next weekend and don't want to take any chances. TIA!

Thank you guys...I don't know if I could stay out of a pool that long even not on vacation...lol. I am a sun worshiper and it gets too hot not to cool off. Can you get it wet in the shower during that time? Thanks so much for the quick responses.

When I got mine, I wasn't told I couldn't get into a pool. I had a shower that evening. When you get a shower, you will see some bits of color come off, but that's normal.

I don't go in the sun much. Sun fades tattoos, especially if you have white, yellow and red sections (I have white).

Right - 2 weeks, at least - for "soaking". If you avoid the pool, and beach water - you'd be okay BUT then you have to worry about it healing and keeping it out of the sun.

I'd wait until you get back.

And as a handy tip - I bought one of those sunscreen sticks that look like a giant lipbalm - SPF6million - to rub on my tattoo's whenever Im in the sun. It's kept them from fading quite well.
