Tastefully Simple Beer Bread???

I tried this at a friends house and loved it, so I ordered some. ...My problem, I don't drink beer or soda and don't have any in the house. The box said you can use any carbonated beverage. Do you think Smirnof's Mandarin Orange Twister would work?? I happen to have one left over from a party... I'm just wondering if anyone has used anything besides the beer??

I have tried the beer bread by using sprite once and beer another time. I think a can of beer gives it the best flavor. Didn't taste the same with soda. My opinon.

Use beer! Trust me, they say you can use soda, but beer gives it that great yeast taste. You can buy just one bottle at certain stores, ask around. I like to use Honey Brown, it adds just a touch of sweetness and a great taste!

Yuck...DOn't use the Twister stuff...lesson learned I will buy the beer next time...the bread has a weird too sweet taste. Thanks for the replies though!
