TA's & stateroom gifts

I booked with Cheaptickets for out 03 7 day and received the bottle of sparkeling cider and tray of goodies in each room (2). I didn't know they were going to do this so I has ordered the state room celebration and a vase of tea roses for my mom's cabin (it was here first cruise) Needless to say she had tears of joy streaming down her face :)

I'm sorry, I guess I wasn't clear for some people. I was cruising with seven because 2 of my children have autism and need 1 on 1 assistance. I pay for all their expenses,of course, because they are invaluable. My ta knew about the special things I needed on onboard( special foods and equipment and such)and they weren't taken care of! I also had numerous miscommunications while onboard because of my childrens disabilities. I didn't think I was rude or cheap, I just wanted a great vacation for everyone.

Sounds like a great deal of miscommunication. I think that in this circumstance the TA should have sent a letter after to follow up. Even a form letter is OK, IF they read the reply. It is hard to know what happened, but hopefully you won't have the problem again. Booking directly with DCL will eliminate the finger pointing that often happens after the fact. Education is vital, letting DCL know what is needed and why will maybe keep other (and you) from having those same problems in the future. No matter how busy the TA is, they should do some sort of follow up. If you don't tell them directly what your experiences were, they may think that all was fine. My non DCL TA always send a survey after each cruise with a welcome home letter. And they do follow up on all comments and concerns.

Don't let some comments here get to you. People often jump to a conclusion with out knowing all the facts.

My comment was directed toward the TA's not you, dear mickey squared. The fact that you did business with them should warrant some sort of appreciation (gift or note).

I commend you for taking your children with you and not putting them with a sitter for the duration of the cruise.
