Target Store Coupon Swap - SOMETHING NEW!!

As I live right behind a Target store, I find myself there an awful lot -- which isn't a bad thing. One of the things I enjoy about shopping there is getting the "surprise" coupon at the check-out lanes.

However, not every coupon is something I want/need -- for example, I received a $5 off "My Little Pony" purchase of $25 or more (Personally, I would've rather had $5 off a Blu-ray or James Bond flick -- just my luck).

That said, I am initiating a "Target Coupon Swap" -- interested swappers can post their coupon here (and those interested in swapping can make contact to that person by PM).

The only rules are (a) it must be a current "Target Coupon" (in other words, I don't want your ShopRite coupons as I am sure you don't want my Schnucks coupons) and it must be current (b) per law, no cash can be exchanged -- just a one-for-one trade.

That said, I will offer the "My Little Pony" coupon for anyone who has a Blu-ray coupon they would like to part with...

Let's start trading!!

I'm game. I have a $5 off any $25 playschool purchase. This is a CRT coupon and is good only at Target. Open to suggestions of a possible trade. :goodvibes

Went to the store, today -- make that 2 "My Little Pony" coupons.

Any traders, out there?

Wow- I have never seen a $5 off anything Target coupon (from the checkout)! Too funny, though. I have to admit I usually get pretty good ones - free 2 pounds of baby carrots, $2 of steak, etc. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a Blu Ray one, since I have never bought one! :goodvibes

The funny thing about the Target coupons is they seem not to be related to your purchases.

They do offer great deals -- but only if it's something you need (or want)!

I just got a $5 off of $50 in grocery items. We got one in the mail a month or so ago, but then I got a second one from the register just two weeks ago. Already used them of course, otherwise I don't usually buy much for groceries there. Their produce always seems to be higher priced and of lesser quality than my local Hy-Vee

Great idea for a coupon swap! Could everyone also post the expiration dates of their coupons?

Exp 4/30/09
$1 off Gerber feeding accessory (Toddler or Infant)

Exp 5/31/09
$.50 off Grande Starbucks Pike Place coffee (use at Starbucks cafe inside Target)
$1 off Benadryl allergy relief product (excludes trial size)
$1 off with purchase of 3 greeting cards
$2 off Softsoap Ensembles liquid hand soap (pump or refill)

FYI - if you get a swapped Q for something you use - a lot of grocery chains will honor Catalinas from other stores, even though it says "Target only" right on it. Ask your store if they'd take it, and maybe their price ends up being better than Target's.

That may be, but a lot of grocery chains are regional/local -- in the St. Louis area, alone, there are only 3 major "tradtional" grocers (and two of those are family-run chains).

Also, while the newspaper coupons with the Target logo are certainly welcome, my focus is on the coupons generated at the checkout lanes when you make a purchase.

That said, the end user can take the coupons wherever they want (especially, if a competitor has a good price match policy), but for the sake of swapping, Target coupons only, please...

Where do you get these coupons when you check out? Ive been shopping at Target for years-- and am there about 2 days a week-- avid couponer, save atleast $25.00 in coupons just about every trip-- and ive never received a coupon.:confused3

ETA: For those of us who would like some of these coupons, but cant offer another target coupon up because they arent applicable in our area (and the generator coupons are free to everyone)-- it kind of throws us out of the loop. Could you not trade target coupons only- but allow the other part of the trade (done through PM) to be a manu coupons or something that that person needs!?

Maggimus - I have gotten my coupons before my receipt prints out at the register. I've also found that it has nothing to do with what I've bought or if/how many coupons I've used. I've never really found anything I'd use so I'm always passing them on.

I do like the idea of trading for something the person needs - regardless of it being a Target coupon or not. There are a couple of coupons I would trade for but don't have any Target coupons to trade at this time. (guess that means I need to shop there more huh?) :goodvibes

I suppose you can always PM someone privately about a coupon they have on this thread and offer a non-Target trade.

Ours has never had any coupons print at all. Maybe its the new stores or regional?

I will occasionally get coupons, but not many compared to how much I shop there. Sometimes it's the $10 off of a $100 electronics purchase or $10 off of a $50 home goods coupon. Other times it's $.50 off of Swiffer. By the way, all of those coupons have expired.

That said -- for those who are interested, please post your Target-branded in-store coupons, the amount off, and the expiration date (and catergories/products you are willing to trade to).

I have a: $5 off Enfamil Next Step Powder Infant Formula Coupon. Good for 24 oz size of Lipil or ProSobee Lipil. Expires 5/31/09.

Since my baby does not drink Enfamil, I am looking for comparable Similac coupons. I am also looking for either Coke or Dr. Pepper manufacturer coupons (not Target coupon).

For those who do not receive Target register coupons, I have found I usually get coupons when I pay by credit card. I never get Target coupons when I pay by cash. Also, I found I get more in the beginning of the month and I found that if I use the same credit card more that 7 or 8 times that month, the register stops spitting out coupons. I, then, use a different credit card to pay and I get coupons again.

I unfortunately haven't started getting coupons yet for formula. I am due in 2 wks, but I will keep a lookout for Similac. If something pops up, I will let you know! I generally used Enfamil with my first DS.
