target return policy

I have 2 extra infant car seats from target that I would like to return but don't have the receipt. Anyone know what the return policy is for baby gifts?

When I worked at Target about 10 years ago, the policy was that you were allowed to exchange the item without a receipt for another item(s) from the same department. It may have changed since then.

Target has gotten very strict about returns in the past couple of years. I would talk directly to your local Target and see what they have to say. I've seen this type of thing handled completely differently at various Targets.

My Target will not allow you to return or exchange anything without a receipt. The only exception they have is if it was paid for by a credit or debit card they can run your card and look up the transaction in their system history. I wish every store was capable of that!

BTW not that you asked but if you use your Red card you have longer to return items than other payment methods.

It is like a $75 return w/o receipt per year policy. So I'd have you return one and your DH the other.

Did you by chance register for these items? If so I believe you can return them using your registry.

One of them I'm sure wasn't on the registry I'll have to check on the other.

If it wasn't on your registry, add it on there and mark it as purchased. You can use that as your receipt.
