It works on ALL giftcards, expect Target GiftCards or credit card type cards.

Rule#1 - don't ask a cashier if it will work. It is highly, highly likely that you will get a wrong answer....just as you did in this case.

Since it is the card that does the work and NOT the cashier, they do not always know what works or not.
