Target Pharmacy Question

My friend has a target pharmacy 5% off card, he said he would give it to me for my disney trip after I explained the process.

My question is, can I use his 5% off card with my red card? Or does Target somehow link them together and his pharmacy discount will be invalid for me?

I used my sisters with her name on it, with no problem. They just scan it like they would a coupon and I had no issues. To be upfront and honest - it does say on the back, "non transferrable". I'm typically a rule follower and certainly didn't want to be embarrassed but I had a backup plan. My sister was with me and since I was spending the most money it was just easier and made more sense to use my Red card, not hers. If they would have said anything, we would have used hers, no problem. Again, they didn't say anything, didn't look, etc. I'm sure others can chime in too
