Do you still get the 5% off Target GC with your Red Card?

I was going to get Disney Tickets from Undercover tourist but, I think it would actually be a little cheaper to use the red card with 5% off correct.

Disney Tickets: 949.98
Undercover Tourist 908.98
Disney with Target GC 902.48

Do they limit you to how many you can use buying in one transaction?

From my experience yes.
the extra 5% from the pharmacy coupon no longer applies.
if you have an amex blue prefered you can purchase it at a supermarket and get 6% cb..however you wait a month for the credit to kick in, not like the automatic savings from the redcard.

I'm not sure you did the calculation right. You would buy the Disney GC with your Target Red Card. A $50 GC ends up costing $47.50 (5% off of $50). Then you use your Disney GC to purchase tickets from Disney at their full price. 5% off of $949.98 is $902.48. How did you arrive at $864.48?

Maybe I'm missing something.

hmmm That's weird. I have 902.48 too and thought that was what I typed since that is the amount on my notes.

So, with UCT being the same cost, I'd just go with them. They provide very good service. Ordering your tickets early will allow you to set up FP+ in advance.

The only time that I use the GCs to make a ticket purchase at the window is when I already have tickets for that visit attached to my MB and I just want to take advantage of pre-purchasing for the future. Disney won't take multiple GCs for payment online and it's a huge hassle (if not impossible) to try to do it on the phone.

It's not impossible at all. I am paying for our entire trip in gift cards. I call with about 10-15 gift cards at a time, and they happily and patiently enter each one, and I instantly watch my balance go down!

August 1993 offsite, July 1997 offsite, June 1998 Poly, June 2003 CBR, April 2007 CBR, July 2008 CSR, March 2010 ASMusic, August 2010 FW, October 2012 AofA, September 2014 CS

We're talking about paying for just tickets, not paying for a package. They are two entirely different types of transactions. It's not a problem to use GCs to pay down the balance on your package, whether you do it online or over the phone. It's a HUGE hassle to purchase tickets using GCs unless you do it in person at a ticket window or guest relations.

The Disney Vacation account is the way around that, isn't it? You enter all the gift cards into the DVA. It gives you a single gift card number and that's what you enter when purchasing tickets.

Do a search for threads about the vacation accounts. They are not working as smoothly as they should. Too many problems with not enough CMs trained in how to apply the funds and a lot of CMs who don't even know what it is.

Until Disney gets the kinks worked out, I'm not putting any funds into a DVA.

There is a big difference between making a resort purchase with gift cards and tickets. The booking systems are totally different. Resorts allows multiple forms of payment, no limit. Tix allows for two forms of GC and cc only.

The disney passes can also be purchased at the disney store which is right around the corner from my house. I know it's not a lot of savings but when your buying multiple tickets it adds up.
