I don't know if it's just my target, but they will not price match and use cartwheel. They make you choose one or the other.

My Target does not allow cartwheel or any target coupons with a price match either :-(

They are matching their OWN Target online price (which is one of their big marketing pushes for the season) and it's their own app discount! That's crazy they won't do that for you at your Target I just did it over my lunch and there were about 15 people lined up waiting to do theirs at the electronics counter and the lady said they'd had calls all morning to validate that it could be done. She said their management had even mentioned to them this morning that it could get crazy in the electronics dept because of the 1 day deal.

Sorry you guys can't get in on it. I'd be pushing management on it, but that's just me.

It's a very YMMV type of thing with Target. I have one right up the road that will pretty much price match anything (it's how I scored an iPad Air for DD a couple years ago for a very sweet price) but the one about 5 miles away will not. It's worth it to go to another Target and give it a try.

Well I went and looked and it does say you can't do both price match and cartwheel. Oh well.

Yes, they do have a official policy. After my target wouldn't do it, I went home and researched it.

a lot of ppl say to buy a whole bunch little things on top of what u want to buy somtimes will work... Like what most ppl say, YMMV.

It's not new, that's always been the policy. However, it seems to depend on the individual Target/Manager.

Target policy is to apply Target coupons including cartwheel before any price match, then, if the price that you're trying to match is still lower, the price match is done. Matching target.Com prices is still considered a price match and is handled the same way. If you are able to do both it is because somebody is not doing their job correctly.
