Target Cartwheel 15% off Electronics/Entertainment - Disney GC?

Target has a special Cartwheel offer for 15% off Electronics and Entertainment. It is for Sunday-Monday only and excludes Bose, DSLR cameras, and pre-paid cards.

Disney gift cards are classified as entertainment cards in store so will this work on them? Anyone want to volunteer to try it out?

The Redcard 5% discount also excludes prepaid cards but that discount applies to Disney gc. I think prepaid cards are Visa reloadable.

I tried it this morning and it does not work on Disney gift cards.

I did find that it works on printer ink (and there is a $5 giftcard with purchase of a 2 pack) and batteries. These are things I need to stock up on!

It may not work on GCs but ut does work on Apple products. I bought my DDs new Shuffles with the discount as well as the printer ink.
FYI, according to the fine print, the coupon is good for up to four items per transaction and the coupon may be used up to six times per day.

I used this to buy an xbox live 1 yr membership. Usually $60 but with 15% cartwheel and 5% red card it was less than $49. iTunes cards were excluded (I tried).

I know nothing of video games except that my 6 yr old wants an xbox to be able to play a better version of minecraft. I don't want to spend the $500 I see on this xbox 1, is the xbox 360 fine for a young boy? Wondering if the coupon would work.

They are not classified as entertainment cards, they are gift cards, they just aren't Target Gift Cards. Sometimes the little tag will say entertainment, but the system knows and acknowledges them as gift cards, hence pharmacy rewards not working anymore.

We have Xbox 360 (well oldest DS does) and he and my 12 yo use it for minecraft all the time. They play other games as well but minecraft is definitely a fave of the 12 yo. You do need the Xbox Gold Live membership to use Minecraft on the Xbox. The minecraft game download was $20.

The membership "live" will be required to go online and play with people that are not using that xbox. Xboxes in other houses, rooms, etc. You can play at home with others on your xbox with no membership required. Everyone just needs to have their own controller. A kinect is needed to play SOME games not all or most. You can see on each game on the front cover in big font if a kinect is required and I believe the game case is actually purple not green like regular games. You do not need to buy it with the Xbox though they sell them separately used and new if you choose to add it on later.

All that being said I think the cartwheel coupon was only a 2 day deal and has now expired. You can get very good deals when they are on sale though and even used (with a warranty) from Gamestop. If you do choose to get an Xbox 360 be sure it is a black one. The white ones are from an older generation.

Although you wouldn't be able to buy/upload add ons from the Live marketplace to "enhance" the game you could still play the game a great deal with just the disc and the console. Enough for a 6 year old I would imagine. Right?
