Seems like the Target card comes up a lot. People using it to purchase gift cards at 5% off, then using them for incidentals, dining, etc.

Has anyone used them to purchase theme park tickets successfully at the gate in WDW?

I've used them to pay for a cruise, and it worked great. Although we haven't gotten on board yet...

Thanks all!

You could also buy your tickets online through Disney and pay with the gift card. The tickets can be mailed or picked up at will call.

Could you stack it with a pharmacy rewards for another 5% off? I've never paid attention to the pharmacy rewards cards I get to see if they had any exclusions.

I've heard you can stack both but never done it myself. It works out to be slightly less than a full 10% off because they do one 5% coupon at a time. $100-5%=$95 and $95-5%=$90.25

Great tip - use Target Red card to purchase Southwest Airlines GC and get 5% off!

Wait, wait, wait - what? I can use my Target RedCard and get 5% off? I thought that discount was only good for purchases in Target?

You can buy Disney gift cards at Target. I've never done it but folks have said that you DO get the 5% off, even on gift cards. Then you use the gift cards to buy your tickets or anything else while you're at Disney.

Yes, you sure can and do get the 5% off! A $50 Disney card is only $47.50 when purchased with your red card. I do it all the time!

I used the 5% pharmacy coupon on top of my redcard 5% and saved $442.50 yesterday. I did have to speak with a manager and have the transaction approved because it was a lot of money. There's a number that comes up on a receipt that you have to call from the store first so they allow it. HTH

$3000 of cards I bought for my trip. Took me 45 minutes to apply $2500 of them to my room package bill over the phone. The remainder are going with me for gratuity and shopping :)

I didn't have to speak to any manager, but I did call the number on the back of my Redcard to inform them I would be maxing out my Redcard today. Most credit cards will freeze you for unusually large purchases if you don't let them know in advance cuz they think your card is stolen.

You can make payments with gift cards online on your MDE account. Much faster and easier than reading all of those numbers and letters over the phone. :)

I thought you could only do one gc per day on MDE. I've always had issues with MDE not showing the link to pay online or the balance being wrong. This was before I payed off my trip. It took me an 1hr to call in all of my cards and the cm was really nice.

OP here. We bought 600 with of GC from target near port canaveral. Used 200 on the ship and 400 for gate admission. All without a hitch.
