Target, awesome grocery deal!

I got the most amazing deal at my Target today. I went to get a prescription, and was wandering. I went to the new grocery section, and found ground beef pound packages were 1.99 with 1.50 off coupon. I bought 10 packages for .49 each . DH told me I should have bought all of them . And I also got a 5 off of 50 coupon when I paid for the meds so I used that with all the items I bought. It was a good shopping day!!

THanks...I always check the dates of the food I buy, everywhere. Yes, they need to be frozen by 12/2... that works..I have a freezer . We had yummy burgers tonite for dinner already! I think I will make some meatballs one nite this week too.

Freezers are great to have when deals like that roll around. We have a chest freezer, the freezer in our kitchen and another freezer in an old refrigerator we keep in the garage. All of them are filled to bursting because the local Kroger closed and they marked down all of their frozen food a minimum of 50% rather than move it to another store. We won't have to go food shopping again for anything other than staples until next summer, hehe.

That's an awesome deal! I lucked out one morning a few months ago at Target and got bags of Ore-Ida fries, hashbrowns, tater tots and onion rings for 50 cents a bag. I bought like 20 bags and stocked up my freezer!

I believe (if she is talking about what I was talking about) they are on the each package. They get peeled off when you go through the register. If the girl remembers

I would make sure that as the item goes thru she takes offf the coupon.

When we stock up on ground beef I bake meatballs and freeze then. I have a recipe for 4 pds of meatballs.

Brown meat and put it in bags by the pound and freeze it. Makes dinner easy on other nights.

I also make meatloaves. For those I put it all together and then in a baggie and freeze it uncooked. For a super easy dinner we pull it out and cook it in the crockpot. You can put potatoes and carrots under it if you like as well. Comes out so moist and good!

That was such a score! Maybe I will run by my store just in case today. I doubt that I will get that lucky though.
