Target after-christmas clearance....

My dd saw some must-have (if she can get them on sale) Christmas ornaments at Target. Does anyone know the clearance price progression for after Christmas?

Two years ago my Target marked down every Wednesday. Last year there was no rhyme or reason to it and I just had to keep checking with my friends and here to find out about new mark downs.

I did see they have already put their trees on clearence so I would keep checking. The trees were 30% off this week... so I figure they should be 40% this week... maybe.

I'd go with the guidelines LizzyDoll provided. Global Bazaar sets in the seasonal area and that set date is about January 8th, so things need to be cleared out for the great stuff coming in! It's better than last year and I'm just waiting to shop.

I know walmart where I live opens at 6 am. (I work there)

Most Targets open at 7 am.

One year, my two daughters and I went to the mall and Linens and Things on Christmas Eve. All of the day-after-Christmas items were already marked down and the malls were practically empty.

It may have been a fluke, but it dawned on me, that unless these stores have elves that come in, in the middle of the night, this stuff has to get marked down/advertised as being marked down, before the stores re-open on the 26th. If they're advertising it, they have to offer it, right?

I have never put this to the test, but for anyone who lives in Houston and has a Foley's, they have what are called Red Apple sales, and they always started marking items down the night before. If you were lucky enough to be there, then you got the savings, minus the crowds.
