I have a system when it comes to the after holiday sales at Target:

At 50% I get the things that I REALLY wanted but didn't want to pay full price for, then I see how MANY of certain items that I want are left and if there is a lot I wait until the 75% sale to get those, this year I saw that there was TONS of wrapping paper still on top of all the shelves and lots of tags so I waited until the 90% today to get those and then anything else that was left.

Gift bows 3 @ .49n - 1.47
Scooby Christmas flag (not in christmas section) - 1.49
gift bows - .29
plush musical chicks 2 @ .69 - 1.38
tree skirt - 2.99
6.5' prelit tree - 6.99
holographic tree - 3.99
12 rolls of gift wrap priced .19 - .49 each

Cool, you got the Scooby flag - I saw that one but picked Snoopy over Scooby! What a great price those were.

I got the containers of legos for .49!! I think they were meant for stockings. 100 pcs. Some for Easter baskets...some for ebay!! At that price I couldn't resist!

I hit 2 Targets this morning after dropping my oldest off at preschool at 10. Still managed to find:

Wine Charms (for wine glasses) .59
No Sugar box of Belgian Chocolate 1.19
Wilton bundt pan .99 (my best find, I was so happy)
Pretty purple coasters .69
Atkins calendar .79
Gift bows .29
Set of 2 Sharpie markers .19
Box of Dove chocolate .69
Matchbox pens with the little racer cars .98 (reg $3.99)

One store had alot of toys 50% off, the other didn't. The only thing I bought was a Thomas the Train Water Tower because I doubt that makes it to 75%. I also picked up a Chicco Caddy red stroller for $24.98 (reg. $49.99) for our upcoming Disney trip. Unfortunately, when I got home and opened up the box I discovered a green Kolcraft stroller. I am NOT pleased. I've got to run back to an inconvenient Target to try and get another one because the ones nearest to me don't have anymore of these strollers. I just hope they don't try and give me a hard time returning it.

I couldn't go until 4PM, so the only thing left was bows, tinsel and candy canes along with some ugly tree skirts. I managed to spend $5.11, but it was tough. I'll be by a different one tomorrow morning, but I doubt there will be much left.

My Target's Christmas selection was pretty picked over so I didn't get anything out of that, but I could've spent a fortune in toys 50% off! I bought:

4 Click-its--.39 each
****ah playdoh set--1.98
Ello set--1.98
In party favors:
4pk paddle balls--2.78
6 pk parachute guys-.98
care bear stickers-.78
boys track pants--8.98 (reg. 18.99)

Not too bad, these toys will be great for Easter baskets and treats over the year.

6.5' prelit tree - 6.99

:( That makes me physically ill when I think about what I paid for our tree before Christmas. Oh well, there was no avoiding it, we NEEDED a tree. But still... :earseek:

Here are some things I got:

Care bear xmas Cd- $.59
Strawberry Shortcake x-mas cd - $.79
Barbie Stocking $1.00
Hello Kitty xmas paper $.29
Pink girls shirt with sandt $.50
Ladies undies 3 pack - $2.50
Paint can with Slumber kit $1.00
Magna doodle kit with viewmaster viewer, reels and case $3.xx
Christmas Dishes serving for 6 $6.xx

I will have to look at my receipt to see what else.

They did have the Pixter B & W for $14.99. Some toys were $50 off, some still 30% off. I want the xmas peek a blocks train but its still only 30% off. They did have the peek a blooks wagon for 50% off for $14.99

I got the Lego canisters for .39 and an Lego advent calendar $1.49 (I think someone may have hidden this). 14 Clik its for my Brownie Troop .39. Playdoh 2 pk for .19, cards, fabric wraps, garland and some bath set and nail sets. Really neat makeup bags 3 pieces for $1.29, some Tees for .50 and a few CDs (a lot of the CDs were regular price, they send them back the guy told me).

This is so great!

I am a manger for Target and it is so fun to hear all of you guys talk. It's always good to visit a couple days after it goes 90%. My store always finds a lot in our stockroom we didn't know about and then puts it out.

I found quite a bit today. I only spent about $30.00 and got loads of stuff! My best find was the Glade Wisps cinnamon apple scent for .69 and inside each are three coupons for 3.00 off one Wisps unit!! So needless to say, I went back and got 10 more and used my three coupons so they basically paid me to take them off the shelf LOL.

I got some cute novelty candies for .29. It looks like a little (doll sized) rolling suitcase and it is filled with several candy watches. It is totally un-Christmassy except one of the candies inside has Santa on it. My DD is using the case with her American Gril doll now.
Cute t-shirts for about .50

I hit the jackpot at Target yesterday - I was so excited! Got a 6.5' prelit Christmas Tree (the kind that comes with that nice wooden box as the base) regular $139.99, sale $13.99!! I was drooling over them in all sizes thru the season - this will be perfect for my entryway! :)

I know what you mean. We are thinking about getting a new tree. I was going to get one this year, but we decided our tree can last one more year. I did get new lights, though. I will wait until after Christmas clearance NEXT year and get one. I hope. Can't beat the 6.99 price for a prelit tree!

I hit the 90% off around 9 am and there wasn't a lot left. Although there were a TON of Christmas cards. I usually hand stamp my own, but for .49 I couldn't resist. I got some really nice, old fashioned Santa ones with gold trim.

I also got 5 sets of salt & pepper shakers with holly design. These were .19 . I might make a gift basket with them some how next year.

After Target, I went to Kohls where it was 80% off Christmas stuff. I picked up some beautiful picture frames (not christmas design) for $3.

Maggie

You guys are really lucky. Target is my favorite place in the world. BUT the closest Target serves several towns and there is NOTHING left when I get there, usually not much left at all since it is pretty much depleted during the season. I envy all of you!!!

Had to go back and return something today, and of course had to take another look

I found:

Duncan yo-yo's .19
Hot Wheels Monster Jam trucks .29 (look for a yellow-blue one with the words Super Trucker on the door, a police-car one that says five-o, and called Devastator that has a dinosaur on it). I got 15 to use as party favors later this year.
