Target 3DS $129 price a deal?

So DS9 want a 3DS. Not something I wanted to get, but he keeps talking about it. I'm thinking of getting him one for his birthday, which is Valentine's Day...I normally buy stuff this time of year for it since the deals are best. I've never looked into the price of these so I don't know what is a deal. Looking quick this morning it sounds like $129 is pretty good. Plus there's that Target coupon for $10 off a $50 purchase if that works with it. Does it sound right, sound like it's about as good as I'll get? Anyone know if I get to Target (it's an in store only price) and they are out of stock if they do the rain checks for this? I know I've seen the tags for it on other items in the past.

Yes, that is a great deal. I got my daughter one for this upcoming Christmas at ToysRUs for $169 with a $20 gift card, so basically $149. Go get one today!!

Yes it is. I bought the Black Friday bundle. It was 149 and came with a game preloaded.

Thanks very much!! I'm going to try to go tonight. Usually I can hide things in store when they are with me but I don't think I can that so gotta wait. I'm just hoping they still have them or I can get that rain check! I'll have 2 1/2 months to figure out how the games and stuff work then, yeah!

Does he want the 3ds or the 3ds XL? My kids have the 3ds as they got them soon after they came out, but those XLs make the screen much better IMO!

Oh I don't know. He saw someone with a 3DS somewhere and he was just commenting on how he liked the 3d part of it. I don't think he'll care either way... he's good like that. It'll be good as long at it has the camera and extras like that, he's mentioned them in the past but I told him no way he was getting a 3DS, he can use the lite he has

We bought the 3ds xl. I know its more money, but figured we better start out good or he'd be wanting to upgrade sooner.

Did get it for a good deal tho......179. This week Kmart has them on sale for 199 and it comes with Mario Kart 7

I was going to get the 3ds for $129 at Target too then I came upon the 3ds XL at Best Buy for $199 with Mario Kart already installed (is a $40 value) plus a $20 Gift Card (like spending $199-$40-$20= $139) like only spending $10 more for a XL

Then I saw an even better deal at Toys R US. 3ds XL for $199 with Mario Kart installed but with a $30 Gift Card PLUS a free Stylus....Making it the same as the deal at Target but XL.

Granted only a deal if you were going to get Mario Kart 7 (which is only available on 3ds) and I know my son wanted that one first.

Holding out for a deal on the 3ds xl. I did seriously contemplate the 3ds for $129 at Target--I used the $10 off coupon to get two games there. But I also think that the difference in the screen is worth the price difference--especially if I could get a deal that make sense. DS is not at all interested in Mario, so the bundle isn't really a deal.

Am really hoping someone has it on sale this coming week!

Thanks for these other deals!! Went to Target tonight and of course they are out of them. They have a truck coming in overnight tonight and they have more 3DS's coming in but they can't tell me if they will be on that truck. I have to call in at 8 tomorrow and see if they came in but they will hold one for me if I want. I think I'll look into these other things tonight and if I get one of those deals I think I'll go with the XL. I knew asking on here would be well worth it

Where did you find this deal? I just went to toy r us online and could only find it for $199 with the free stylus, but it didn't include Mario or the gift card

well I found the Best Buy deal but TRU isn't showing a $30 gc. DS loves anything Mario so I think I'll get the Best Buy one, if I find a better deal later I can still return it.

I found it on there with the Mario game... I searched for 3DS LX and it came up as a holiday gift pack thing but no gc just the stylus and the Mario game loaded.

I don't know if you consider $224 a good price but at walmart they have a bundle with the blue ds xl that comes with the mario 7 game and a case to hold it. You also get to choose 2 extra games as well (there are 21 to choose from). I just wanted to let you know just in case you wanted more than 1 game for a low price.

I want a Nerf case (if they have them for the 3DS, haven't even looked yet.) The case this comes with isn't tough enough for my boy I'm afraid Otherwise I'd have jumped on this one. Looks like a good deal otherwise.

I've seen Nerf cases for the 3DS. We got DS7 a 3DS XL for X-mas and the Nerf cases won't fit it.
