I'm sitting at my desk, listening to Disney radio, and the music from Tapestry of Dreams came on.

I have such wonderful memories of watching this at Epcot.

I loved watching the interaction of the "puppets" with the kids along the parade route.

Sure wish they would bring that back!

This is my all time favorite song from the parks. I remember dancing to it at Epcot during the parade. I get up and dance when I hear it at home.

From what I've read about it, it sounded like one of the best parades in WDW. I think it would have helped us enjoy Epcot more. It's at the bottom of the list for our fav's. (overall, we still like it though)

Thanks for triggering great memories. That's my all time favorite Disney song and parade. On one trip we watched it like 6 times!

My favorite of all Disney parades. Never saw anything like it before or since. Loved it and we saw it every time we had a chance -- multiple times during a trip when we could. Even stood in the rain (not pouring) one evening to watch it.
Loved the designs, the costumes, the music, the interaction with the crowd -- especially little kids.
I have a number of the CD's (was always afraid if I only had one it would get damaged and I couldn't listen to it). Love that they still use some of the music during the crowd exit after Illuminations.
I understand they had problems with maintaining the costumes and floats and that there were numerous problems with people having back issues from wearing the heavier costumes. Still wish they could have found a way to keep it or bring it back.

It was long gone in 2010. I'm pretty sure they only had it for the millennium celebration.

Nice parade, but traffic nightmare.

Yeah, my understanding is that was the main reason for ending it.

That parade was the highlight of our 1999 trip. Mostly because we stumbled upon it by accident. We were walking around World Showcase, and this happened:

ME: What do you want to do?
HUSBAND: I don't know, what do you want to do?
ME: I don't know. Oh, look, a parade.

We only saw it once, our kids were 9 and 6ish I think. I remember making the mask on a stick in Epcot during the day and there were "wishes or dreams" (?)you wrote and attached to your mask then during the parade the Dream Catcher came around with a net and your child could put their "dreams" in the net. The Dream Catcher was a beautifully costumed character and it was a wonderful interaction for my children.
We were sad it ended. Still love Illuminations, always end our Disney trips with that.

I wish they would bring this back! I'm not a huge parade person, but this one was wonderful!

I agree . I loved this parade, but heard it was a logistical nightmare for foot traffic while the parade was going on, therefore it was very short lived.

Keep in mind that the parades in all the parks create a walking nightmare. Additional reasons are there too I would say.
