Thanks everyone. We are all super excited. The kids ask about every hour if it is time to get on Mickey's boat. LOL!

Super easy - just stick them into some foam forms. You should try it! You'd be surprised.

OKAY!! Only 2 more days!!! My final dress fitting is 10am tomorrow!
All important documents have been located, majority of picture orders complete, and I'm (supposed to) working on homework now.

Last night and today are some of those days that I wish I could forget. At least things are already okay.

But to start with - DH and I got into a huge argument which left me crying until 5am this morning. It started by arguing whether or not we would pay the money on the ship for the photographer. Lately, there have been some good shots, but he thinks it's a waste of money and we can just tripod everything.

Money has become an issue lately b/c
1-my financial aid has not come in due to paperwork delays. Yes I really am self employed.
2 - I footed the majority of the bill for my Grandmother's funeral. No, my family did not help out.
and 3 - a computer chip on my car went out and it cost us $400 to have it replaced!

The good news is that the financial aid has been straightened out and I will have a check come while we're gone - a lot of good that does me now!
And another check come at Christmas. I hope that I don't have to delay my MK shoot.

But back to the beginning. So DH has been stressed about a lot lately. My grandmother, the accident - which still hasn't been resolved, money, and his father has been in really poor health lately.

So then he tells me that we would have been better off going to Vegas and we could have gone like 3 times with the money that we have put into this.
I took that to mean "I don't want to do this" and it's not worth it. So fight ensued. But long story short, we worked it out. But it sucks to be stressed out and under all these emotions. My dh has always wanted to take me to Vegas, but I would rather do things with our kids. Plus 10 years is a HUGE deal for us. No one in our family other than his parents have made it past the 10 year mark.

hi there i just wanted to say i love you!

Message from DH above. He's about to confiscate the laptop so I will not be tempted on cruise.

Anyway, DH said that he wanted all the same things I do and that 10 years is a big deal for him too. He was just trying to state a fact and I blew it out of porportion. Which is mainly true.

This morning did not get better.

I walk into the bridal shop and the girl in there just stares at us and didn't even say hi. So I tell her that I am there for my final fitting, and she looks at me again with a deer in headlights face! So DH asks if there is a problem, and again she stares at us.

Finally she gets up and gets on the phone and has an entire conversation in Spanish. Then turns to me and says, "There's been a problem with your dress."

WHAT???!!!!

So, after I scrape my jaw off the floor, she tells us that my dress isn't even at the shop and my bustle has not been finished. I know that they send them out for alterations, but why did they call and tell me it was ready?

So she assures us that it will be ready this afternoon and it's nothing major.

So after worrying all day, dress is there when we went back tonight. It was gorgeous - and actually fit me - and was the right length! BUT there was still no bustle. AND it wrinkled around my mid-section from extra fabric gathering from where they took it in. Okay, the wrinkle is minor, but I have lost weight and I am proud of that. I want it to be smooth and slimming. I don't want it to look like I have fat rolls squished into it, when in fact it is too big.

Now I have had many a pageant dress altered here, and I have never had any problems. So why is it that the day before we leave I have issues with one of the biggest, most important dresses I will ever wear!?!

SOOOO...after much reassuring from everyone involved, the seamstress is coming in tonight to fix everything. I don't know why they didn't want me to do this earlier - but like I said, I never had problems in the past. I have seen them take apart dresses and completely reassemble them for other brides with no problem, and I have never had a problem before. I don't know if it was the weight loss - it's only 10lbs - or what?

I am much calmer now, but I'm not sure that I will get much sleep tonight.

I am going to put up our Christmas tree now with the kids, and then I'll let y'all know how it is tomorrow.

oh Tanya, sorry about the fight with dh.....it seems like money is the only thing my dh and i fight about...and they are some nasty fights. i'm glad the financial aid is all worked out. If you could swing it, i'd just go with the photographer on board. you know enought to direct him/her to what you want, and you wouldn't have to mess wiht the tripod. good luck!!

OMG on your dress! I would seriouly be having a coronary right now....good for you fo being so calm! I hope everything gets straightened out!!

Everything has gone fabulous today - other than a fact that we've been running around like crazy. I have been beautified! Manicure, pedicure, and eyebrows are all done. Dan got new dress socks after our Golden Retriever - Sebastian (named after Ariel's crab) chewed up his other ones.

Bags are packed, directions printed, cd is made! We have the pianist playing all Disney music for the ceremony. But I wanted the Hawaiian version by Iz (or Isreal) of Somewhere Over the Rainbow for our sand ceremony. I also put Brad Paisley's Then on there for dancing, and then a bunch of fun Disney music in steel drum band style.

My dress is all fixed and looks beautiful!

I think we're ready to go!

I promise updates when we come back!!!!!!
