We have 1 day in DL in July, 1 day. My daughter wants to see Rapunzel more than anything, but everytime I look at The Mousewait times for Tangled Meet & Greet I get a little sick inside. It is consistently one of the longest waits in DL. Can anyone tell me what time this character opportunity usually opens, and if the lines are building long before that? Any info appreciated. :goodvibes

Just returned from 3 days at Disneyland...each day the line at opening became huge. If you get there at open and head straight to the area, you will be okay; otherwise be prepared to wait about 90-120 minutes. Next to Star Tours, it was THE longest wait while we were there.

Wow, thank you so much for the reply. Did you go straight at opening too? Were you pretty much in and out, or does it take awhile for the Rapunzel character to get in and settled?

Also, where exactly is it located?

Sorry so many questions, but i am so nervous about missing out on early low lines because of a meet and greet. But i don't have a choice...she is all about Rapunzel.:goodvibes

Rapunzel is on the left just past the carousel headed toward Toontown.

We waited about 20 min. Just 5:30 between the two parade times. It was on a weekday. That probably makes a difference.

And she will spend time chatting your child up. She never seems to be in a hurry.

The line forms out in front of her house. Once you get to the door you are close. She is just inside.

Have a great time.

She's right by pinnochio's ride. I saw the line anywhere from 120 minutes to 30 minutes on afriday and Saturday.

Definitely get there and wait before the line even opens. We got there about 45 min before the Tangled meet n greet opened and were 6th in line, we waited about 1 hour total. Very much worth it since my little girls loved it. She does spend time talking to the kids so the line really doesn't move very fast!

When does the meet & greet itself actually open? Isn't it at park opening?

The Tangled Meet and Greet starts at 11:00 a.m. (or at least it did last week- you will find it in the times guide) We were there Saturday June 4, to Wednesday June 8. We should have done it over the weekend because the lines were 45 minutes to an hour all weekend, but we were doing other things. We were going to do it Monday, but we got there 10 minutes before the meet and greet opened and it was already almost a 2 hour line and it stayed consistently one and a half hours the rest of the day. Tuesday, I got there 30 minutes before the meet and greet started and I was still an hour back in the line, so it took us a total of one and a half hours to meet them. They were on DD's must do list. The line seemed to be 90 minutes most of that day, although I think it occasionally dropped to an hour. The parks were the most crowded Mon and Tues. Wednesday, the park was not as crowded and we saw the line at 45 minutes again.

Does anyone think the parade option is a better way to go? If it opens at 11, and we only have 1 day, we would miss from 9 until at least 11:30 in a meet & greet line. Not sure that is a good idea. If we going during a parade time, might we do better?

Maybe you could wait in line while another aduld *is it just the 2 of you?* takes your DD on rides - they can join you *stay in touch via cell phones* when you get close to go time ;)

That's how we handled it when DD visited with Rapunzel and Flynn/Eugene last Thanksgiving weekend, I lined up 40 min. or so prior to the start of the meet and greet time, the rest of my family did other things, close to 11am DD joined me in line.

I was thinking about that, but sometimes others in lines like that get annoyed when one person holds a spot. Even though it would not make one bit of difference in their wait time whether it was just me, or me and my daughter waiting. I just do not want to get flamed by others if I let her go with her older brothers and then join me later. I do not like conflict, especially while on vacation. Any others have opinions on this?

Oh mannnn.... We will be at Dland this coming Sunday - Thursday and we planned on going to Tangled on Monday as well!

I think this is what we will plan to do! ;)

Honestly, I don't see a problem with it. Like you said, it doesn't change the length of the line for anyone. I find it much different than waiting in lines for rides like that. First of all, the line is completely outside, etc and second of all, like you said above, doesn't impact other people IMO. ;)

If you, an adult woman, are in line alone then later a little girl joins you, I would understand totally. If you are joined by more than one child, I might get a little irked.

Yes, it would be just the two of us. My teenaged sons have zero interest in characters at this point ;)

Ya know, I just don't get it!:confused3 We all have kids and we all know how hard it is for them to stand in those very long lines and we all know how precious time is when you are at the DLR!!:lovestruc It does not bother me at all if someone - be it parent, big brother etc. is waiting in line then younger siblings join them when the line gets closer. I think we all have to be a little forgiving when at the happiest place on earth! It is, after all, for the kids and everyone needs to be given a break every now and then...Just my opinion...:)

You have a great attitude...I wish more people were like you! :grouphug:

This is our favorite meet and greet! She makes it so personalized and special for the kids, not just a hurry, take your picture and get out of here like it is sometimes at PFF. We went in December and it was a challenge to get in to see her, sounds like they've changed to line up system since then. At that time they'd open and close the line for each "session". It was really difficult to get there at the right time before the line closed for being full.

Good luck and have fun!!!

We went in March and will be there again on Monday. I really wanted to see Rapunzel and stopped by the queue one day to find the line was 90 minutes and closed.

I determined at that moment that I would wait at opening when I wanted to see her. Two days later I sat down at 9 to wait and was first in line. My son and husband rode rides for 2 hours and came to me at 10:45 and nobody complained.

While I waited 2 hours comfortable sitting down, many others had to wait standing up. I prefer to sit and wait because of arthritis in my spine and all leg/hip joints.

What really shocked me about my wait were the people behind me in line. The whole family waited, including a 2 year old little girl who absolutely could not wait to see Rapunzel.

My day was made when I walked into the room and saw Rapunzel AND Flynn Rider.

Yes, they do close the line once it reaches 90-120 minutes. Rapunzel has to potty too you know :). Then there are the parades she is in, and she can't be in two places at once.

The line is long, the wait is long, but if you are a fan like I am, it is totally worth the wait. I am thinking of doing it this trip too because it was so amazing. And yes, I am a 45 year old woman whose 8 year old son really enjoyed meeting them too.
