I know that one is QS and one is TS. Which one has better tasting food? (note that we're veggie so options are limited)

Are both worth it?

Thanks in advance!

Tangerine is much better that Marrakesh in my opinion!

We ate at both places during our most recent trip and I have been dreaming of going back to Tangerine when we are there in Sept! That being said, I will never go back to Marrakesh.

I am not a picky person... I have eaten at nearly every counter service in the parks (and most of the QS) and Marrakesh is the one place that I will never go back to!

The service was fine but the food was awful. I love this type of cusine but was really unimpressed.

These are just my opinions... good luck deciding!

We also had HORRIBLE service at Marrakesh. I haven't eaten Tangierine, but I would eat there over Marrakesh any day. The food wasn't bad, but the service alone turned me off.

I ate here last August and found the food at Tangeriene Cafe (QS) to be delicous! They have a lot of veggie options, and good Baklava! In my opinion Tangeriene Cafe is worth it. I have not tried the Marrekesh yet... Hope that helps! :)

Honestly at Tangierine the falafel was rock hard and the baklava had been overworked and was tough--I can get better baklava at my local supermarket. Also they told me I could have all my sliders with falafel, but then gave me the standard order (1 lamb, 1 chicken, 1 falafel), so beware. Order one of the vegetarian options (falaefl wrap or veggie platter). The tabouleh and hummus were great, so was the cousous; my lentil salad was also great but my DH must have gotten the last bit of an old batch because his was gross. But both the falafel and couscous were nowhere near as good as at the Mara.

We had a great meal (great food, decent service, the belly dancer was good and the restaurang was beautiful) at Marrakesh but we didn't eat vegetarian at that one so I don't know how the vegetarian options are.

I went in expecting to be wowed by Tangierine Cafe and to dislike Marrakesh (DH requested it), but it was the other way around. I'd give Tangierine Cafe another try, but it was nowhere near as good.

Haven't tried Marrakesh, but had a surprisingly delightful experience with Tangierine! Good value and very very tasty. Lovely meal on one of the outside tables, taking in all the sights.

DH is vegetarian (and he also eats seafood) and so Tangerine Café was the ideal stopping spot for us.

The salads were delicious. We had tabouleh, garden salad, couscous and lentils. Great as the salads were, for me, the pick of the dish were the hoummus and the olives. I knew from the DisBoard that the serve was huge and this was certainly enough for both DH and myself to share.
The falafel was okay - I think it has the potential of being really bad depending on how long it's been sitting in the servery before being placed on someone's plate. I think on this day, the falafel was probably there for about 30 - 45 minutes. It wasn't rock hard; but it wasn't freshly soft either.

And baklava for dessert. Not the best I’ve ever eaten and there was far too much filo pastry for my liking. But if you pick half of the filo pastry off the top section, then it's not too bad.

Seating is outside; so if you're wanting A/C, then this is not the place for you.

I didn't check out Marrakesh but I gather that it's a great place to eat. It has the reputation of being a quiet and cool spot to eat at because not many people realise that it is there.

We've eaten at and truly enjoyed both!

Our server at Marrakesh was wonderful and the food (esp. the beef shiskabob and leg of lamb) was great. We've never had a bad meal at Tangierine Cafe.

DH and I ate at Marrakesh a few years ago. It was the worst meal I have ever had at WDW. Trying to save some money I ordered vegetable couscous. The vegetables were incredibly soggy and tasteless. Things may have changed since then but I wouldn't risk it.

I totally agree!
Marrakesh and Tangerine are must-haves every trip!:thumbsup2

We loved Tangierine Cafe. Great veggie options but have to agree with PP on the Falafel (rock hard) but the rest of our meal was wonderful
