An alternative to building a new monorail might be to run double trailer trucks, fitted with bus seats, up and down World Drive between MK and MGM and perhaps also run to AK. Several years ago WDW had a few single tractor trailers so equipped, each trailer had 65 seats and standing room for I think 100 more people. One driver could then move 300 people. Regular buses would shuttle guests from MGM to the south end resorts such as All Star and Caribbean Beach, and between MK and the north end resorts such as Wilderness and Polynesian.

Another way of outfitting the trailers would be six abreast seats and a lift up right side, just like the backlot tour trams at MGM.

WDW would be utilizing existing infrastructure (World Drive) as opposed to having to build new infrastructure (monorail tracks). The best operation would be having the trucks run in the left lanes of the highway with new special left side entrance and exit ramps.
