Hi Ladies!

I've been pondering since our recent trip to Florida - for those of you who wore strapless dresses, what did you do about tan lines aquired from walking around the parks for days before your ceremony? Since ours will be in July AND and the end of a week of Disney parks fun, I'm a bit concerned, lol! I wanted to wear some cute little tanks, but now I'm wondering if I should try to keep the shoulders covered???

Thanks!!

We made ours toward the beginning of the trip. I wanted to make sure that I could enjoy the sun and park food with no worries!!

I wore a strapless dress the day before.

Many brides either wore tshirts, tube tops, or strapless dresses prior to their days!! I guess you could also take a bit of sunless tanner with you to help with any areas that made need it.

I'm just planning on wearing lots of strong sunscreen. But I am fair and skin cancer prone so I have to do that anyway LOL.

I'm like Wendy. I wear sunscreen religiously with my tank dresses and tops in the parks and have never gotten tan lines... or a tan! :rotfl:

I love being tan and was super concerned about this before the wedding. I wore tube tops the 2 days before our ceremony during the day and when we went out at night I wore my cute summer dresses that I bought for the trip :)

I'm with Jessica, I've been tanning before the wedding so that my tan is already established and tan lines wont be as easy to get. I plan on wearing cute strapless dresses and be careful about tan lines. Most of our guests are coming down the day before and staying after our wedding, but I have forewarned all of my bridesmaids I will go bridezilla if they show up with tan lines. I'd definitely try to plan your vacation after the wedding and not before if you can help it! If you absolutely can't help the tan lines, I personally would get them airbrushed by the hair & makeup people.

GOOD CALL LADIES! I hadn't thought of this yet but am glad you all have! I would completely go bridezilla for ruined pictures on that one omg. I'll have to remember to tell people that maybe we should go tanning before.

Question: does anyone know anything about spray tans? how long they last? what kind to get so that it doesn't come off on clothes???

Add me to the list of pale girls who couldn't dream of getting tan! :lmao:

Ditto the sunscreen and strapless shirts for the parks!

others may have better advice than this, but i personally would absolutely not spray tan in any way shape or form prior to a/my wedding! i would do a light self tanner lotion myself if i got some weird tan lines on the trip - LIGHTLY!! - but unless you are going to do it off site right before the wedding i just don’t find them super reliable for such an important day! it could be good or it could be the one time it flakes and peels and does rub off on your dress!! if i were doing an event and not wearing white or cream, fine, whatever - but i just wouldn’t risk it!

sambycat- you bring up some good points. Thats why I ask. I don't know about all that stuff! I am asian and will tan so it depends how i look late august. I'll have a tan built up I guess I'll ahve to be aware of funky lines all summer! ha

This was a great topic to bring up and one that I would have never thought of. Even though a. I'm wearing a strapless gown and b. I'm a sun magnet. I'm naturally tan but the sun loves me and in 15-20 mins I can get a tan that takes most people all summer and that with an spf 50. But the tank top option or tube top won't work for me. I may have to look for some serious strapless day dresses but since I'm top heavy they will have to be structured.

Thank you ladies for adding something else to my shopping list lol. But its good I probably would have been more upset with tan lines. At least now I can try to prevent them.

This is my issue too! I'm not at all sure I could navigate the parks all day without some serious support for the girls!:rotfl:

I am so well prepared! All of my strappy tops have been put well out of reach. I have purchased loads of strapless tops and tees. We have 12 days in Florida before the wedding and I am determined I will not be getting tanlines.

I guess I'll also be researching serious support strapless bras lol so I'll let you know if I find anything good.
