Anybody know of a good one that doesn't cost the Earth?

I asked my friend who works for Decleor about their but it's about £50!!! DH would go mad if I spent that much! ;)

Hello I use elemis tan accelerator, I tan quite easily, but DH is a nightmare and it has certainly helped him.

Also I think I read somewhere that Avon do one, which would be cheaperc :goodvibes

I use the Elemis one also - I love it !

Whatever you do dont buy the tanning capsules from Holland & Barrat, useless!!!

lol i tried these last year i agree lol nothing happened

but elemis brilliant best i have ever used and i find it difficult to tan.

the only thing is i wouldnt use it from start use sun tan lotion first then after a few days use tan accelerator as I burnt bad when I just used it straight away but if you already have a base tan from this beautiful weather it shouldnt matter

Thanks everyone,
how much is the Elemis one?

With the elemis one, you are supposed to use it two weeks minimum before you go away and it works - it builds up your skin, so when you actually do "sun bathe" it feels like it has already been in the sun for those two weeks.

I buy mine either from qvc (at moment 2 tan accelerator £28.50 plus postage or direct through elemis - www.timetospa.co.uk - has 1 tan accelerator for £19 plus postage.

The thing i like about qvc is, if you order it, use it for say a week, and genuinely do not like it, send it back and get a refund. :goodvibes

Anyone know if Avon do one? Can't seem to find one. I am an Avon girl :goodvibes

I was looking at some of these in boots not really seen them before so its interesting to hear all your thoughts. So you use them instead sun tan lotion?

Hello,

No - tan accelerator means you use before you go away - try for two weeks - it builds up your skin so when you go away your skin has "toughened" up so stops it burning so easily - BUT you must wear sun tan then when you are away. DH burns easily, used last year when in cyprus with 45 degree heat and he was fine, as well as using his sun tan when he was there

I found this Avon one (brochure is also selling at £6), but is it the same kind of thing? Looking for help from the gurus.

Can you use this for kids too? (not so much to enhance a tan but more to prep the skin). I tan easily so this is all new to me, but skin prep (when living in Scotland  can never be a bad thing). Golden brown is an added bonus. :)

had a quick look on avon website and could not find one - there is an enhancer which I believe makes your tan last longer, which is not the same

Hello, well I looked at your link and am not sure whether the Avon one does the same thing.

The link you gave me, when clicked on the avon one the description said

"Moisturising lotion with gorgeous tropical fragrance to maximise your tan. Just massage on to your skin, and then apply a sunscreen on top"

With elemis you put on two weeks before then when get there use your sun tan lotion.

Within the same link the elemis description was

"Prepare the body for exposure to the sun by stimulating its natural melanin production. Elemis Tan Accelerator is Excellent for both sun-sensitive skin"

I am sure there are quite a few out there, it is only because I use elemis cleanser/toner etc and stick to what I know my skin likes.

I will pm you :goodvibes
