Tampa?

(thinking about renting a car when I arrive at Orlando airport and heading right to Tampa. Find a hotel, do zoo first thing the next day and then head to Disney.)
Wouldn't it be easier to simply fly into Tampa and get a one-way car rental vs. driving back and forth?

In the future, there may be a high speed rail between Tampa and Orlando:

That sounds like fun, but I probably shouldn’t hold my breath waiting.

Good point. That would be much easier. I’ll have to check out the price difference, although I in my “old age” sometimes I try to do best way, not cheapest way. (Old habits die hard.)

I guess that depends on what you consider “best” way. Would that be the cheapest way or most convenient way?
Usually the more convenient way is not the cheapest so then I weight whether or not the extra hassle is worth the extra savings.
Still I like to compare both ways and know that I made the best choice for us. :goodvibes
