Tampa split stay

We ve just decided yolo so looking at an August trip with our sons 2 and 5. Have to keep an eye on budget so flights have made us think about doing 6 nights in Tampa before 7 nights in Disney on site. Think we ll give universal and sea world a miss this trip.

My question what is tampa like and is there plenty to do and see. We d do lego land (and maybe Busch) when there.

Anywhere decent to stay both in terms of area and resort? Would like a villa if we could find somewhere like Windsor hills in Tampa

All quite liberating but if we get it booked will be interesting to see how I get on with adrs!

Can't help on places to stay, but as much as your sons can't do the big rides, the animals at Busch are great!!

You should do ok with ADRs, we just booked a bunch for our June/July trip with no probs, just don't expect BoG. Still managed Tusker House and similar for some Character Dining

My advice is to forget Tampa

Find a villa on Hwy 27 between I-4 & Hwy 192 ( For the 13 days )

LEGOLAND is off Hwy 27 going south . & Busch Gardens is only 1 hour + down I-4

Spend time seeing other things outside of Disney .

You could drive to The Boardwalk or Disney Springs & use the Free Water Transport to relax
