Tampa Hotel Near Busch Gardens

Hi All,

We are planning a trip to DW via Tampa at the end of the month.

Any suggestions on a hotel near Busch Gardens? We are a family of 6 and need it for a few days.

I wouldn't suggest staying too close to Busch Gardens...it's not the greatest area (there was a brutal incident at a hotel a while back involving an elderly couple staying in the immediate Busch Gardens area) . Brandon is less than a half an hour away...good shopping, lots of restaurants, etc. There are several fairly new hotels in the area near the mall. One of them, The La Quinta, I think, has an indoor pool. Downtown Tampa is also less than a half hour from BG...there you'd be near the aquarium & the new trolley system. HTH
