Tampa & Alamo Counter

Has anyone ever flown into Tampa and then use ALamo? I know you have to take a shuttle, but can you just go pick up your car (if you check in online) and then head to the checkout person like in Orlando? I wonder if the lines in Tampa are as long as Orlando? If so, I'd take the coupon away and just do the fast checkout.

we've flown into Tampa three times in the past and have always used Alamo. Lines were not long (we check in before noon). the shuttle getting you there is pretty fast and once you're there, you spend about 5 - 10 minutes checking in and then you're on your way to choose your car... pretty fast and simple!!!

Thanks! I'd like to use the coupon, but we're going in late June and I am wondering if the lines will be long. We'll be at the Marriott at the airport the night before and will pick up the car at 10:30. I just want to avoid a long line.

The Tampa Alamo location now has a kiosk so you can skip the lines. Others here have reported using the kiosk even when they had a coupon.

that's great news about the kiosk in Tampa. we'll be there next thursday and the faster we can get in and out, the better!!!
