As part of the July 4th weekend festivities, there are 7 (seven) tall ships in town. They are being displayed at the Public Dock in Presque Isle Bay & at the Maritime Museum.

The "Pride of Baltimore II" is berthed right next to our USS Brig Niagara.

The ships can be boarded for a walking tour and we have been there once and we are headed back.

There is a 3 masted ship from India visiting...and is berthed at the north end of the dock. Her masts are so high they can be seen blocks away from the waterfront.

A 'tip-o-the-hat' to those in authority who arranged all this. Not only is it a breath taking sight, it's a great way to remember our Nations early days.....and if i may add...the Grandkids absolutely loved it!

:D I edited to add.... we want to find out what time they will depart so we can watch them sail through the channel on their way out into Lake Erie...

We've been so fortunate here in Boston to have several spectacular Tall Ships visits here. I highly reccommend that if you can get to see them, GO.
