I never saw a thread on this, but I saw a talking garbage can at DCA. I walked past it and suddenly it said, "Happy New Year!". I jumped and kept walking trying to figure out where it came from. As I turned around I noticed it following us. Then a man was chasing it trying to throw something away.

Later that evening a crowd was around it watching it and talking to it. One boy about 8 or 10 years old thought it would be fun to kick it. It told it not to so the boy did it again and the can said, "Seriously, stop." And the boy did it again! I don't know why his parents didn't make him stop and/or apologize to it. Maybe they thought it was funny too. :confused3

Anyway, that was kind of a neat surprise. :goodvibes

Congratulations on meeting "PUSH" the talking trash can. He's always so much fun to watch and visit with. :goodvibes

My kids LOVE PUSH!!! They could stand around talking to him forever. I saw a pic of the operator on another forum once, so I kept an eye out for him the last time we went. He is great!!! Unless you knew who to look for, you would never guess he was doing the talking. A lady with wet hair came by, and PUSH asked her how her hair got so wet. She screamed and ran away. It was hilarious!!! I saw a video on YouTube of a boy kicking PUSH. It is a shame that parents don't stop their kids from doing that!!!

There was a robot at the county fair that "talked". I made it my best effort to find the operator. It wasn't hard. DH was surprised when I pointed him out. We had fun watching him control the robot (probably the same way "Push" is controlled) and watching people's expressions.

I'm so happy to hear that PUSH is around at DCA! Our family loves him at WDW! Is he always in the same area of DCA?

The 2 times that we saw him (Sept 07 and Oct 08), he was on that back road area near GRR and GCH.

Push scared the crap outta me!

My kids loved him tho. He talked to Gavin about his mouse ears which thrilled him to death

I had assumed Push looked 'different' from his peers in the garbage world at DLR, so I was surprised to see that he looked like everybody else when I saw him! Children were alternately kicking and hugging him. It is amazing how kids want to beat up on a poor talking trashcan!

In any case, Pink Budgie - Push is harmless. It is those pesky talking Snowballs we have to worry about!;) ;) ;) :rotfl: :lmao:

Push is so funny. We saw him at DCA last year over by the bathrooms behind GRR.

There was a lady walking with an umbrella (it was hot out) and Push kept following her saying "excuse me, excuse me, 'mam, it doesn't look like it's going to rain!!"

I LOVE Push!!! I didn't know he was back! Push used to be around Tomorrowland quite a bit. Glad to hear he's getting the same response at DCA that he did at DL. I could watch Push and people all day!

Aww how neat! My kids would love it! I hope I can find him in April! :)

And as for the kids kicking it...so rude. I would never let my children behave that way.

That's for sure! I ended up going two days instead of one! Glad I did, though since Jan.1st was the better day.

When we saw Push, he was near the restrooms behind the Rapids ride. He was on the corner next to a bench. Later he moved over to the spot across the bathrooms. We watched from a distance until he "left" back in between the trees and the building.

Here's push when we saw him (and his handler) in Tomorrowland.

... and here he is talking to Snow White.

He kind of scared her when he told her someone threw away an apple ... and he ate it. (It was so cute & funny!)

Hahaha I remember meeting Push at the 50th anniversary outside of Buzz Lightyear. He kept following me around and asking me questions :) it was funny though
