Awhile back, valet at some of the DVC resorts was free. Now you have to pay. Just curious if anyone knows why this was changed?

The valet operations is handled by a third party and they wanted DVC to pay them for the service. DVC opted to discontinue the perk instead of adding the cost to our dues.

If you have the Tables in Wonderland card, you can get free valet parking at the resort you are dining at for up to three hours when you give them your receipt afterwards. You still need to tip.

And if you have a handicap parking hangtag or plate, you can get free valet parking at your resort.

Curious about this....We are staying at BWV soon and plan to valet each day..If for example we have just had our breakfast at BW bakery then go to retrieve our car to go to the parks for the day...do we show this receipt along with our TIW card and get free valet?

Or is it for table service only?

Also..How about if we had breakfast but then went to epcot and didn't pick up the car till that evening...could we still use the receipt from that morning?

Thanks..:)

It is a perk for using your TiW card, so no, a CS breakfast at the BW Bakery wouldn't qualify.

And as stated above, it is for 3 hours, so even if you did use it for a TS breakfast at the Boardwalk (like Kouzzina for example), you could only leave your car in the valet for 3 hours.

Last year when we did valet at BWV we payed for valet for the week and got to park valet at all the Disney resorts during that week. During the week we ate at various resorts for dinner and the only extra was the tip.

Thats interesting!...How much would it be for 7 nights?:)

7 days x valet fee (can't remember if it's $12 or $14 now), plus tips every time you move the car. There's no discounted weekly price that I am aware of. They charge it to your room for each night if you leave your car in the valet lot.

It has always been the case that paying for valet at a resort entitles you to free valet at other resorts on the same day. You just need to show your receipt.

We are taking our brother in law and his wife to VWL and BCV for a weeks split stay. My BIL is very slow to move and has all the handicapped stickers etc. Since I am not handicapped and am doing all the driving, does that exclude him from the valet parking since I am able to park the car after I drop him off?

It would have to be on the vehicle. If he doesn't have a hangtag that he can bring along, you won't get free valet.
