I've read rumours that this will be drained in January.

Can this be confirmed anywhere?

I am going February 17th to 24th....and was looking forward to a Streamboat ride.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the new Tiana "princess" jubilee show. The Princess & the Frog comes out in December and on MiceChat there was a concept shown of a Jubilee show with Tiana.

Both Al Lutz at MiceAge and Darkbeer, two very reliable sources, are reporting that the ROA will be drained from January through April 2010. They have to drain it every few years as routine maintenance. I personally wouldn't want to be there right after they drain it. PEE- EWWW!

Major Rivers of America refurbishment and enhancements

Details: Major Rivers of America refurb, resulting in a hiatus for Fantasmic! and a closed Tom Sawyer Island, Sailing Ship Columbia, and Mark Twain Riverboat. The River refurbishment would also include the reinstatement of many Audio-Animatronic wildlife and other scenic elements that have been missing from the River for years, according to Al Lutz's 8/25/09 column
Project Status: Drained and closed during winter and spring 2010.
Open Date: May 2010
