talk to me about PSP

My DS9 wants a PSP for Christmas. He has a DS now. Convince me that it's worth getting the PSP! Or tell me to save my money!

If we do buy it what is the best bundle to get? I feel like every Christmas I have to not only spend the money but do tons of research so I know which version of which system combined in which bundle is the best to purchase. Yikes!

Hey. My DS12 has both. He plays the PSP more than he ever played DS. He also has some of the UMD (movies) for it. You can also put music and pictures on it. Not sure about bundles. There weren't any bundles when he got it. I would just try to find a bundle with some titles that interest him. It was worth every penny for me, because he does use it alot. Hope this helps some.

DS has had one for 4+ years and it's the only hand held game system he uses at all. You really don't need a lot of accessories - it should come with a wall charger, and I'd add a car charger if you're into longer trips, screen protector (they're cheap) and case. That's really all you HAVE to have..... You can also download music to it and link to the internet with what comes with the basic unit.

From there it's just a matter of buying games he'd like and you're ready to roll!

Can PS games be played on it? DS14 has asked for this as well, and he's already got a PS2 and PS3.....

My DS13 has asked for one too.I bought one today but not sure what games to get.I know I want to get a football game but need one more suggestion.Any ideas??

Asked DS 14 (the expert ) and you can't play PS games on the PSP.... HOWEVER, he's pretty sure you can get a cable and hook the PSP up to the PS 2 or 3 to play those games. He's never been interested in doing that since he doesn't have a Play Station system.

As for specific games, his favorite is NCAA Football '09, followed by Secret Agent Clank (adventure game) and Ape Escape Academy.
