First trip in less than 3 weeks!! :)
I thinkI can handle the indoor rides/indoor coasters.

What I am worried about is: Hulk coaster and RRR.
I can do DISNEY coasters (have not done cali. screamin at Calf Adventure Park). But I love RnRC and the Magic kingdom coasters. I have to say - i watched the POVs of Hulk and RRR and I am scared...Amd going with my D12 and she wants to ride. My DH would kill or divorce me if I let her ride by herself!

Any thoughts?

Go for it. You may be scared the first time, but I bet you will be running to get back in line. They’re both very fun coasters!

Have you been to Six Flags, Sea World, or another regional theme park? That would be the comparison for those coasters. (Though Sea World's are better).

Hi I ride coasters, I do the taller the faster the better LOL! However, I do not like ones that bang me around a bit. I have been on both Hulk and RRR. Hulk is better now since the refurbishment. I would suggest you sit in the middle of the car. I think it is a good placement for a first timer. I think you will be okay as long as you don't mind a loop and inversion that is on Hulk.

RRR is a bit intense on the lift hill but the rest is not bad at all. I would suggest the middle car on this one as well. This one can be a little shaky. I can usually only do this one once.

My suggestion would be try and do these at the end of the day. This way if you don't like it or get sick you won't have to go on it again and it won't ruin your day!

Good luck!!

For us RRR is less jerky the nearer the front you sit.

We always ask for the front as we sat in the middle/back once and it was dreadful.......we ended up back in the hotel as I was ill. It was so rough. One of the TM said to always ask for the front. So we do, and we’ve always been fine. The last section is a little twisty and can knock you about further back you are.

The hill lift looks scary, but after you’ve done it you’ll love it!! I know I did.....first time I admit I screamed like a banshee......but the drop is very smooth and you don’t feel that dropping sensation as it is so smooth.

As for Hulk, again we prefer the front row.......again, the end turns of the coaster I always find jerk a little regardless where you sit......

Glad you’ll be ok with The Mummy......it is a fabulous coaster and one of the best for theming.

Thanks for the responses. Helpful, though not sure they make me less scared. HAHA.
I guess it seems scarier to me that you can see everything -- I mean the beauty of RnRC is I cant see - its so dark - and its so quick and its over. The first time I rode it -- when I got off I said to DH -- I thought it was supposed to loop upside down! He said -- it did at the beginning after the launch.... I had missed that. LOL!

The Mummy does not go upside down at all. It is indoors and feels faster than it really is. It is a fantastic ride, though, and my favorite at Universal. The Hulk... since you ride Aerosmith at Disney, you are used to the launch. Well, Hulk starts with an indoor launch too. Then by the time you are outside, you're loving the ride so much that there's no time to worry. I rode Rip Ride Rocket once. The ride is great, except for me the initial hill. Having said that, my wife and kid ride it without me as I chicken out an wait. :)

The Mummy will be more similar to the Disney rollercoasters you’re used to but Hulk is much more intense. It’s a true roller coaster and is very jerky in my opinion and has loops that can make you feel very sick if you’re sensitive. I rode it after the refurbishment and I still felt sick on it and I do not have any sort of motion sickness if that helps you any. Rip Ride Rocket is also a true roller coaster in the fact that it has more loops and turns and that huge incline at the beginning but it’s definitely more mild than Hulk. Good luck and I hope you enjoy your trip.

As man have mentioned, the Universal coasters are a bit more than the Disney ones. Good advice to sit toward the front, I find the back more whippy. And as I’m prone to motion sickness I always take a non drowsy anti motion sickness pill. Can’t do the Tea Cups but can do coasters. It’s the loops that can get me!
