I've read a lot of posts about missed tolls at the airport. It's 4 years since we were last there and Virgin customers now seem to get their Dollar cars from a different location.

What is the easiest way to get to ASMu - preferably without jumping any of the tollbooths?

Thanks for any help.

P.S. I won't be driving but will be chief navigator - much more stressful IMHO!

Thanks for that, Netty. Are there still problems with missed tolls?

Hi Libby,

The tollbooths are signposted well before you get to them so as long as you keep a good eye out you will have no problems. The cash lanes are always to the far right - kind of as if you are pulling into a lay-by or onto a slip road, so as soon as you see the signs (about a mile before the booths) whoever is driving should start to make their way over to the right hand lane.

The best thing I did before our trip this year was to 'drive' all round Orlando, starting at the airport, using Google Street View.

The missed tolls seemed to be on Beeline Express which is the road you use if you take the North exit from MCO.

The quickest route to WDW is using the south exit and take the 417 toll road. You will go through toll booths (It slightly more expensive but it a better run as you avoid the I4.

All the toll booths on this road are clear and you just use the right hand lanes marked cash. You can't miss them.

If you leave the 417 at exit 6 then follow the signs for DHS once past that you need to follow signs for Animal Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Resorts. You will go past Coronado Springs on your right and Blizzard Beach and finally McDonalds on your left and keep going straight and you will drive right into the All Stars!

I second the site Netty mentioned, I found it so helpful the first time I drove in the US :) We did it slightly differently as we stopped off at Publix first then on to WDW and I don't remember any tolls the way we went, not sure of the road though i'll ask my bf later and see if he remembers ;)

you go through 2 tolls, stay to your right, as elise79 says get off at exit 6 this brings you onto the 536 (world drive).
http://www.orlando-maps.info/junctions/417_exit_6.htm
stay on the 536-you will hit the first set of traffic lights, which is at the bottom of international drive, carry on and you will pass the Caribe royale, next set of lights is where the 536 crosses over the 535 go straight across and you are on your way to wdw

Thank you all. I'm sure we went via the south exit on our previous trips. It's reassurring to know that we shouldn't miss the tolls if we go that way.

I've been looking at google street view too.
