Avast there ye lads and lasses! Happ TLAP day!

Aye, on Wednesday, Me hosted a pirate-themed storytime at our local library, dressed in piratical costume and e'erythin'. The younger kids at the earlier storytime made pirate hats and colored a pirate colorin' page. The older kids at the later storytime made a pirate hat and went on a treasure hunt.

I celebrated this mornin' by talkin' piratical t' Ds's teachers when Me dropped him off at school. I also hit up a garage sale and managed t' get a mighty thrift score. Me picked up an ankle-length chocolate brown skirt that is from Coldwater Creek for a quarter as well as two usable-for-projects denim miniskirts, usable-for-projects cloth belts, a shirtdress for my pregnant sister, a usable-for-projects shirt and a black cotton tanktop from Old Na'y. All for a buck and a quarter.
Ye'll ne'er get me buried booty!

Arrrr. I be the only scurvy dog celebratin' TLAPD at work today. I be wearin' me "To err is human, to arr is pirate" t-shirt and me official pirated TLAPD button. It warms me heart to know that there be others celebratin' arrrrrrr holiday.

OMG... this made me laugh out loud. When I get frustrated at work, I'll scream "arrrrrr!"... My coworkers laugh at me and tell me that I'm talking like a pirate. It was with great pleasure that I just emailed them to let them know that there is an actual holiday for it!!!!
